It was important to Harriet Boettcher that our service men and women pursue their dream of college. That is why her estate plan included a scholarship for students like Chris Conyers.

A Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army with more than 16 years of active duty—including service in the Middle East—Chris is also a student in FAU’s College of Business, where he is majoring in business advertising.

“I can find no combination of words in the English language to express the gratitude students like me feel towards Horizon Society donors like Ms. Boettcher,” he shared at the 2015 Horizon Society luncheon. “The sheer magnitude of opportunities your gifts make possible is beyond words.”

Harriet was a business woman and world traveler who settled in Boca Raton and was thrilled to support her new “hometown university.” She passed away in 2011, and her legacy lives on.
